| Crisis Intervention
Advocates provide crisis intervention
to survivors of sexual violence at local hospitals
and accompany survivors to law enforcement agencies
and courts. |
| Hotline Advocates
provide information and referral, crisis intervention
to survivors and their families 24-hours a day,
7 days a week on an in-house hotline, 349-7273. |
| Community Awareness Volunteers
assist with educational presentations to groups
about risk-reduction and other aspects of sexual
violence. Volunteers also participate in local
health and community fairs. |
| Case Management Volunteers
make follow-up calls to clients and advocates. |
| College Interns are a vital
part of the services provided by The Rape Crisis
Center. Each bachelor’s level intern will
assist callers on the hotline, provide follow-up
calls to survivors of sexual assault through
Case Management program, and also provide advocacy
at the hospital through supervision of a trained
advocate. Master’s level intern candidates
will be able to provide supervised counseling
services to rape survivors seen within the client
services department. |

with general office, clerical and special projects. |
